Traditionally, winter has always represented the “off-season” for Airsoft up here; that is unless you happen to be blessed with a sunny locale 365 days out of the year. But up here in the Inland Northwest there isn’t much really happening in the Airsoft scene for as long as the snow flies. Which is fine, as it gives me some time to finally get around to tackling some of my personal projects I’ve had stacking up for awhile now.
One of those projects is this VFC SCAR-H. This one is slated to become a DMR setup that will be locked to semi-auto once my pre-order of Gate Titan’s comes in. It’ll be hosting a Retro Arms CNC gearbox (that I still need to gut out) with a set of Siegetek gears, as well as that lovely brass EdGI barrel with an R-Hop.
I’m also not 100% sure what I want to do with this beast yet: A Tokyo Marui Type 89. It needs a new sector gear, but that’s about it. I’m tempted to convert it to a shorter barreled carbine (see picture below), but keeping the the OEM folding stock arrangement and a different flash hider.
Here’s a fairly complete (externally at least) Troy M7A1 PDW build for a customer that is just waiting for a gearbox to be dropped in.
I’ve also got bins and bins of random loose parts stacking up that need to be sorted and reorganized. This one is mainly Ver. 3 stuff, and mostly LCT parts, but it still needs to be gone through all the same.
Some randomness….
Mounts and rail panels and miscellaneous….
Random furniture bits….
Lots of little bits that need to be cleaned off the bench and organized….
…. Time to get busy!
